The Purchasing Specialist will work closely with suppliers, internal departments, and leadership to ensure cost-effective purchasing, maintain inventory control, and optimize vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Procurement Coordination – Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Obtain and compare quotations for optimal purchasing decisions. Purchase Order Management – Process purchase requisitions, generate Purchase Orders (POs), and confirm supplier orders to ensure clarity in pricing, lead times, and terms. Inventory & Supply Chain Control – Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking. Collaborate with logistics and warehousing teams to optimize inventory management. Vendor Relations & Negotiation – Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure compliance with company policies. Conduct supplier performance reviews and address issues proactively. Quality Control & Claims Management – Ensure purchased materials meet required standards. Initiate claims for defective goods and coordinate replacements, returns, or credits. Budget & Cost Analysis – Track purchasing expenses, analyze costs against budget, and identify cost-saving opportunities through bulk purchases and supplier negotiations. Reporting & Compliance – Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase agreements, warranties, and supplier communications.
