Job#: 3032233 Job Description: Client: Financial Services Team: TBA Job Title: Python / BigQuery / GCP Developer (Contingent) Location: Charlotte, NC Contract Length: 12mo Pay Rate: $69 - $74 Top Requirements 5+ years of Software Engineering experience (or equivalent via work, consulting, military, or education) Strong proficiency in Python Hands‑on experience deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Required experience with BigQuery, including complex queries and performance optimization Experience designing and maintaining DAG‑based workflows (Airflow or similar) Plusses Experience building large‑scale data processing pipelines Strong collaboration skills with engineering and data teams Background in enterprise‑scale environments or financial services Experience with ETL/ELT systems and workflow orchestration tools Job Summary In this contingent resource assignment, you may consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large‑scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi‑faceted, larger‑scale, or longer‑term engineering challenges requiring in‑depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented considerations. You will contribute to resolving complex situations that require a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. This role also involves strategic collaboration and consultation with client personnel. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Python applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform Build and manage data processing pipelines and workflows Develop and maintain DAGs using Airflow or similar orchestration tools Work extensively with BigQuery for data modeling, querying, and performance optimization Collaborate with engineering and data teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions Review and analyze complex engineering challenges requiring evaluation of multiple factors Contribute to the resolution of multi‑layered technical issues with broad organizational impact Ensure solutions align with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
