Job Role: Python Developer Location: New York City, NY_ Onsite Visa: USC or GC Only Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Python Developer with strong SQL expertise to join a fast-paced Risk Technology team supporting real-time monitoring and anomaly detection for systematic trading platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable backend systems, working with large datasets, and developing highly reliable monitoring applications in a production environment. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering and Risk Management teams to enhance risk platforms, improve system performance, and build new capabilities for mission-critical trading surveillance systems. Required Experience 3–6 years of professional software development experience preferred Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience required Strong backend development experience using Python (OOP concepts mandatory) Advanced SQL expertise with strong query optimization and data analysis skills Experience working with large-scale distributed systems or data-intensive applications Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain risk management software applications Build and improve real-time anomaly detection and monitoring systems Optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability Collaborate with Risk Management teams to enhance operational workflows Review code, identify improvements, and enforce engineering best practices Analyze software/system performance to drive technical decisions Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations Lead incident resolution efforts and conduct post-mortem analysis Implement preventive measures to improve platform resilience Preferred / Nice to Have Skills Experience with large-scale or high-performance systems Exposure to systematic trading or financial systems Knowledge of Risk Management platforms Experience building or integrating Agentic AI / AI-powered tools Finance industry experience is a plus but not mandatory Education BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour Application Question(s) Are you comfortable working on our W2?
