About the Role Bowman Steel is seeking an experienced QA/QC - Steel Erection to support quality control and inspection activities across commercial and industrial structural steel projects. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of steel structures while supporting field operations with accurate inspections and clear communication. As a Quality Control - Steel Erection, you will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, coordinating with field leadership, and ensuring projects are executed correctly the first time. What You’ll Do Daily Responsibilities Include: Perform visual inspections of welds, metal decking, and bolted connections to verify code compliance. Ensure adherence to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and AWS standards. Coordinate with contractors, foremen, superintendents, and project managers to support project execution. Assist the Project Superintendent with daily job-site activities to ensure safe, timely, and efficient operations. Calibrate welding machines, oversee testing procedures, and document inspection results. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Train and support new hires on AWS D1.1 standards and inspection expectations. Maintain detailed inspection reports in accordance with company and project requirements. Promote a quality-first and safety-driven job-site culture. Requirements Certification: AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) prefer but not required. Experience:
