POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Full time, 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday schedule First shift, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm THE ROLE The Qualified Craft Worker role will perform a full range of highly skilled duties in the automotive and mechanical equipment trade area. Discover the opportunity to: Perform the most complex repairs and maintenance on a variety of State-owned light-duty vehicles. Perform an exhaustive list of complex diagnostic, maintenance, repair, fabrication work, and safety inspections on executive branch light-duty vehicles owned and leased by DAS Fleet Operations. Service, maintain, and repair all types of light-duty vehicles from standard services to complete dismantles, overhauls, and reassembles of vehicle components. Operate highly technical automotive diagnostic service equipment, mechanical repair apparatus, shop equipment, and support any related automotive garage duties as required. Performs related duties as required. Technicians are provided with all the tools and specialty equipment required to perform maintenance and repairs on today's newest vehicles and state of the art technology systems. Fleet garages have the latest diagnostic equipment for various well-known car brands' products in addition to direct access to each original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) service information websites and digital repair manuals. Work uniforms are provided including an allowance for safety shoes once a year.
