Description QUALITY & COMMISSIONING MANAGER This position is based on project sites; project location assignments may vary. About The Position As a Quality & Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for assuring the company provides the highest quality of electrical construction services and that all stated requirements are met concerning engineering, management, testing, commissioning, material, codes, installation, workmanship, construction, finish, functionalperformance, record keeping, and customer relations. This position partners with job site personnel and project management team members as appropriate, to ensure high-quality project results are achieved. Day in the Life Plans, documents, and conduct all phases of project quality control (QC) and inspections, including the preparatory phase meeting, the initial phase meeting, follow-up inspections, and final phase inspections. Holds weekly QC/Commissioning meetings with the field QC team and commissioning 3rd parties. Assists in developing project-specific quality/commissioning control plans for submission and approval. Ensure completion of commissioning documentation and QC documentation (e.g., installation checklists, energization checklists, and torque logs). Manages 3rd party acceptance testing (NETA/NICET/IEEE). Ensure all applicable testing and documentation have been completed, reviewed, and submitted per project requirements. Coordinates and assists in all levels of the project’s commissioning efforts. Ensures all overcurrent protection has been set per the projects’ SCCS, and all arc flash labels are installed before energization. Inspects all major materials and all electrical equipment upon arrival to the project, ensuring compliance with the approved submittals, specifications, and contract documents. Completes equipment/materials inspection log noting damaged or defective materials. Verify that “as-built” documentation is being maintained for turnover. Maintains calibrated tool log. Ensure all calibrated equipment is up to date throughout the project. Maintains an internal nonconformance log to track internal issues to completion. Prepares, distributes, and maintains daily reports summarizing information related to current project status. Reports all safety issues or concerns immediately to the designated safety personnel on site. Ensures all subcontractor management has access and follows the project-specific QC Plan. Implement QC training and meetings as required. Stays informed of new and changing Company procedures, policies, materials, technologies, techniques, and practices. Establishes, training, and maintains project quality control policies and processes. Build strategic and effective relationships with customers, field supervision, project management team, specialty contractors, vendors, suppliers, user groups, and others that reflect and support the Company’s core values and meet or exceed the customer’s expectations. Negotiates with vendors as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in electrical engineering, building construction quality control, or a related field. ACE Contractor Management for Contractors certification is required. CPR certification and OSHA 10 certification. Electrical Master’s License or similar electrical-related qualification is also preferred.
