JOB SUMMARY : Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, Administrator, Director and Clinical Manager, the Quality Control Coordinator will support the Mammography department: Provides planning, executing and monitoring methods for the achievement of departmental initiatives related to enhancing and sustaining Radiology Quality and Patient Safety. Provides planning and decision-making measures that support the operational/functional requirements of each program/area and assure their integration into the overall Radiology and organizational initiatives. Oversees regulatory compliance and accreditation for mammography services across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to MQSA, FDA, and ACR standards. Manages quality control programs, equipment compliance, staff credentialing, and audit readiness while maintaining accurate documentation and leading inspections and accreditation activities. Monitors patient outcomes, drives quality improvement initiatives, and standardizes workflows system-wide, with occasional clinical duties to maintain competency. Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provides planning, executing and monitoring methods for the achievement of departmental initiatives related to enhancing and sustaining Radiology Quality and Patient Safety. Provides planning and decision-making measures that support the operational/functional requirements of each program/area and assures their integration into the overall Radiology and organizational initiatives. Assists in and/or independently facilitates or completes all MQSA inspections, and Mammography ACR accreditation process and maintenance. Keeps MQSA toolkits up to date. Coordinate all accreditation activities, submissions, renewals, and documentation, serving as primary point of contact for MQSA inspections and ACR audits. Exercises sound judgment and recognize point/need to escalate issues or concerns. Provides methods, data and analysis in support of clinicians and leadership. Develops straightforward techniques and criteria to ensure that the quality and quantity of measures meet the needs of both managers and individual contributors. Responsible for the Mammography Department Patient Safety, Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Programs. Performs as a liaison with other committees to represent Mammography. Ensures adherence to federal, state and local regulatory requirements, as well as accreditation requirements. Facilitates performance improvement practices as related to quality management under the direction of the administrator, director of center operations and clinical manager. Directly interacts with DEP and DHHS staff during on-site inspections. Provides education to Mammography technologists and Administrator on local, state, and patient regulatory issues and updates to the MQSA procedure manual. Oversees Radiology CME and CEU certified programs (Provider Trust) for mammography department. Schedules preventative maintenance and physicists surveys for existing and any new equipment in mammography department, as well as oversee mammography QC log books, physicist books and service maintenance books are up to date and inspection ready. Ensures that protocols meet existing standards regarding MQSA, ACR and FDA requirements. Participates in performance improvement activities. Facilitates the Medical Outcome Audits program, ensuring pathology tracking meets MQSA standards. Review Mammography QC
