LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Quality Control Manager -- Pharmaceutical & Medical Device Manufacturing to join their team. This is a high-impact managerial role for a hands-on quality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys building, leading, and strengthening quality systems within a regulated setting. The Quality Control Manager will lead all Quality Control laboratory and inspection functions within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role oversees a team of microbiologists and quality inspectors and plays a critical role in product release decisions, laboratory operations, environmental monitoring, and quality investigations. The position partners closely with Operations and Quality Assurance and serves as a key decision-maker in a growing organization. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage daily Quality Control laboratory and inspection activities, including routine, in‑process, stability, and finished product testing. Directly manage and develop a team of approximately 8–10 quality staff, including microbiologists and quality inspectors. Provide technical leadership in microbiology, laboratory practices, and quality testing methodologies. Support and execute material disposition decisions for raw materials, in‑process product, and finished goods. Oversee environmental monitoring programs, critical utilities, and aseptic manufacturing support activities. Lead and support quality investigations, non‑conformances, and product impact assessments. Partner with Quality Assurance on CAPAs, validations, calibrations, audits, and regulatory readiness. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within QC operations, systems, and laboratory processes. Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, specifications, and laboratory documentation. Train, mentor, and onboard new Quality Inspectors as the team continues to grow. Serve as a confident, decisive leader who can prioritize competing deadlines and push initiatives through to completion in a dynamic environment. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline. Minimum of 4 years of Quality Control management experience within a regulated industry. Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of microbiology and laboratory operations. Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, or closely related healthcare manufacturing environments. Working knowledge of FDA regulations and ISO 13485 standards. Experience with quality investigations, non‑conformance management, and laboratory-based testing. Proven ability to lead, train, and develop technical teams. Comfortable operating in smaller, growth-oriented organizations requiring agility, flexibility, and ownership. Aseptic processing or aseptic filling environment exposure is a plus. Background supporting environmental monitoring and cleanroom operations. Experience working cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
