If so, then we're looking for YOU! MSG Ready Mix is expanding its team and hiring for a Quality Control Tech / Laborer! Come work for the oldest, locally-owned ready mix producer in Western Colorado.With over 40 years under our belts, we believe in family values and giving our customers the very highest quality products and service.Primary duties will be sampling and testing concrete at batch plants and jobsites located across northwest Colorado and the Colorado River Valley.QC Tech/Laborer position will be responsible for ensuring that concrete is within spec before leaving the plants and will ensure concrete is still within spec once arriving on the jobsite.Position will work closely with 3rd party QC companies that may be on jobsites along with customers and MSG batch plant operators to ensure satisfaction among all parties.QC Tech will also sample aggregate samples and run gradations on materials as necessary.Position will require traveling to jobsites as necessary and transporting test samples to labs on an as-needed basis.Secondary duties will include general laborer / equipment operator duties at Meeker pit/plant location.Interested applicants should possess the following abilities:Quick learner and able to think on toes in challenging situations Ability to work well under pressure Possess basic math and calculation skills Effectively and efficiently communicate between customers, plant operators, truck drivers, etc.Will Possess ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1 certification, or will obtain certification within 6 months of hire Quality Control Tech / Laborer position will be responsible for:Sampling concrete and aggregates in safe and efficient manner Conducting tests and inspecting concrete to evaluate quality and/or conformance to specifications Understanding specifications for projects Recording test data, such as slump, air content, unit weight, temperature and/or moisture content Inputting test data into company quality control spreadsheet Adjusting loads on-site as necessary while keeping the load within the specifications required Analyze, evaluate and assist with resolving customer concerns Communicating test results to supervisors, batch operators and customers effectively and efficiently Cleaning and maintenance of all testing equipment, ensuring calibration and accurate operation General laborer duties around plants at Meeker location including some equipment operation, manual laborer and assistance with other duties as necessary Physical Requirements:Ability to sample concrete and aggregate safely, able to lift up to 55 lbs.regularly and 100 lbs occasionally Must be able to climb up and down ladders Must be able to work long and flexible hours as necessary Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Must possess a valid driver's license MSG Ready Mix is proud to provide weekly pay, health insurance, vacation pay, sick pay, employer-matched retirement savings program and paid holidays.Pay:$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) matching Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Work Location:In person.
