Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. What you’ll do: The Quality Engineer will drive risk mitigation, quality improvement initiatives, root cause and corrective action, and lead quality engineering support for assigned Integrated Product Team (IPT) and product lines. Review customer’s request for quotes, contracts, and flow-down of customer contractual quality requirements to Eaton and its suppliers. Generate inspection check lists, inspection criteria, and skip lot inspections for purchased and manufactured parts. Plan and execute First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102. Support failure mode avoidance activities (D/P FMEA- Design/Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis). Execute all aspects of Advanced Part Quality Planning (APQP) and part approval for customers. Process Engineering Change Orders. Responsible for the processing and disposition of nonconforming material via the Non-Conforming Reporting system. Analyze and trend quality data within IPT to drive preventive and corrective actions and continuous improvement. Participate in customer return process to include failure analysis and corrective action. Drive continuous improvement by leading root cause problem solving projects. Maintain performance management board and participate in performance management meetings. Create and communicate customer data packages for shipped product. Communicate with teams, suppliers, customers, and the government regarding all quality related issues. Act as the Eaton liaison during customer/g
