Fast paced, rapidly expanding manufacturing facility has immediate opening for Quality Control Inspector.Must have knowledge in the following areas:Job Duties and Tasks 1.Performs and documents dimensional inspections on all parts per order specifications and company quality control program with minimal number of mistakes recorded.2.Inspections performed to detect non conformances during production operations.Non-conforming parts tagged and isolated, Quality Manager and operator(s) are notified.3.Writes non-conformance reports as required following company policy conforming to ISO 9001:2008.4.Assist in writing work instructions as required.5.Records test data applying statistical quality control procedures.6.Evaluates data to identify deviation from specifications.7.Recommends modifications of existing quality and production specifications to achieve optimal quality within the limits of the equipment capability.8.Understand and work toward Quality objectives and cost containment, responsible for continually optimizing inspection through put and identifying quality bottlenecks that hinder the production process.Key Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:1.General knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2008 as it pertains to the job.2.High School or equivalent.At least 2 years' experience in a QA/QC department, experience as an inspector, preferred.3.Ability to read Blueprints.4.General knowledge of use of measuring tools preferred may be trained on the job.The instruments shall include, but not be limited to, calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and plug and tread Go/No Go gauges.5.Mechanical aptitude required.6.Detail Oriented.7.Proficient English communication skills- reading, writing, and speaking - as it relates to the job; Spanish a plus. Must be able to understand written and oral instruction in English.8.Skilled in basic math including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometric construction, practical algebra and metrics for the purpose of calculating material specifications.9.Skilled in adapting to a changing work environment, competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.10.Skilled in setting priorities that move projects through efficiently - achieving customer and quality objectives.11.Skilled in working independently, following through with assignments with minimal direction.12.Reasoning skills including but not limited to comparing, classifying, analyzing, and coordinating- minimizing duplication of effort.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours:No less than 40 per week Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
