Job Description
Quality & Risk Manager Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is seeking a motivated Quality & Risk Manager to join our team. Arizona Spine and Joint Hospital is a fast-paced hospital environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. The Quality/Risk Manager is responsible for: The development and monitoring of a continuous quality and performance improvement process through a systematic, organization-wide effort that supports and insures patient safety practices and drives change. Leading interdisciplinary teams, overseeing the collection, statistical analysis, and input of data to and from multiple sources, and presenting information in a meaningful manner to staff and physicians. Assisting physicians with peer review related to quality data. The Quality/Risk Manager is an integral member of the leadership team of the facility. Under the supervision of the CNO, this role is responsible for but not limited to the following: Assess, identify and improve the quality program and clinical outcomes measurements within the organization. Coordinating and monitoring the provision of hospital services by exercising leadership, creativity, initiative and cooperative problem solving in the areas of Quality Improvement, Risk Management, HIPAA Compliance, Performance Improvement and policy management. Serving as a resource for the above areas, developing, implementing and monitoring programs and initiatives to assure compliance with local, state, federal and Joint Commission standards and regulations governing hospitals to include serving as facility HOP QDRPS and CART co-administrator. The Risk Manager coordinates and administers Risk Management protocols to adhere with legal, employee health and safety regulations under the direction of the CNO and corporate Risk. Establishing and promoting collaborative relationships with physicians, patients, families, and additional members of the healthcare team. This role acts as a resource for routine and complex problem solving, serves as a member of the Clinical Leadership Team and its subcommittees and anticipates the needs of customers while working proactively to improve services. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree. Current RN license in good standing in Arizona Prior experience with regulatory agency surveys (i.e.: JC, CMS and ADHS). Five + years of RN experience in acute care setting. Preferred, not required Prior experience in Risk Management/Quality/Performance Improvement. Previous experience in facilitating and leading change.
