Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Technician DUTIES: Work within the Quality Control Team to provide support for Production Staff. Responsible for interpreting and understanding customer or internally generated drawings for inspection of product. Blueprint reading is a must. Ability to read both a standard and metric tape measure is a must. Responsible for detecting defects and communicating repair needs to production staff. Ability to create inspection reports. Ability to use a variety of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages, etc. Strong computer skills are preferred, but not required. Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Interact with all departments concerning manufacturing, customer, and supplier quality issues. REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Quality Manager REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED; Relevant work experience Notes Job requires standing for extended periods of time. Some bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting may also be required.
