BCIS Kindergarten & 1st Grade Jumpstart Summer Program - Teacher Assistants (4) Program Goal: Students entering Barnstable Community Innovation School kindergarten and 1st grade will be invited to participate in a summer session to prepare these students and their families for Kindergarten and 1st grade, school routines, expected behaviors, supports available, and allay fears. Position: Teacher Assistants Job Description: Teacher Assistants will: Assist with the introduction of the incoming Kindergarten students to the classroom setting, routines, and expectations Assist with modeling expected behaviors in the classroom Assist with the delivery of age appropriate activities Ride the school bus in the morning and afternoon with students to model expected behaviors on the school bus Program staff will report to school administration Program duration and anticipated schedule August 3, 2026 – August 13, 2026 Monday through Thursday, 8:00am - 1:00pm (5 hrs/day) 2 Hours Orientation (42 Hours Total) Qualifications Appropriate certification and/or educational background Strong planning and organizational skills Reports to: Principal and Program Coordinator Position Type : Summer Positions Available : 4 Salary : Per Contract
