Summary: The Forklift Driver / Material Handler is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other Paint Department equipment to move, locate, stack, and count materials. This role supports Paint Department operations by loading and unloading orders, organizing inventory, and ensuring materials are handled efficiently and safely. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepares material for processing Coordinates re-work and sanding Moves material from one process to another Verifies order counts and pallet counts for accuracy Keeps vendor material in order Keep always assigned work area clean Perform other duties as required by your supervisor Qualifications and Skill Requirements: High school diploma/GED (minimum) Must have at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Must have the ability to read, write, and count Must have demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to be a team player Must have the ability to learn the job duties within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the supervisor At YKK AP America Inc., pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $18.21-$22.16, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Travel Requirements: The travel required for this position is 1%. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration.
