Our client is currently seeking a Rad Tech - Cath/IR - Lafayette, LA Radiologic Technologist - Cath Lab / IR Contract Duration: 03/30/2026 - 06/27/2026 Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 5 days/week Location: Lafayette, LA 70503 Department: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Job Summary: As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, the Radiologic Technologist in the Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology environment is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the heart catheterization laboratory suite. This role includes operating diagnostic fluoroscopy and cardiac imaging equipment, monitoring patient vitals, performing routine calculations, circulating during procedures, and assisting physicians as needed. The technologist prepares procedure rooms, equipment, and patients, and serves as a liaison to the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Job Duties Assists with patient preparation, room setup, and post-procedure cleanup using safe transfer and positioning techniques - Documents procedures and interventions accurately to ensure proper billing and charge capture - Operates radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images for coronary and peripheral vascular procedures - Conducts hemodynamic monitoring and communicates values to the physician - Monitors radiation dose delivery to ensure patient and staff safety - Transmits, archives, and retrieves digital images using PACS - Performs quality control and routine maintenance on fluoroscopy equipment - Adapts communication and behavior to meet the needs of diverse patient populations - Performs additional related duties as assigned Education Required: Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences Experience Requir
