Job Summary We are actively seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for patients, families and employees. Utilizes ionizing radiation to create diagnostic imaging radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures of all age groups. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Provides appropriate patient care following the Radiology Gold Service Excellence guidelines to achieve successful completion of procedure. Exercise professional judgment in the performance of this service following the Code of Conduct of the ARRT. Contribute as a team member to enhance job stewardship mindful of Internal and External customer service standards. Responsibilities* Performs Diagnostic Images Corroborates the patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and the exam ordered following patient identification guidelines. Utilizes proper radiation protection devices and immobilization techniques for the specific age population following Radiation Safety protocols for the patient and self. Properly positions the patient for proper anatomic demonstration while respecting the patient's condition and abilities. Utilizes the Radiographic equipment following proper protocols. e .Provide diagnostic high-quality images for interpretation understanding the Pediatric population and the need for low dose imaging. Assist the Radiologist in a fluoroscopy suite following the fluoroscopy guidelines and proper designated use of Contrast media. Operate portable c-arm equipment in the operating room providing images as directed by the surgeon. Understands and applies Guest relation skills following the Patient and Families First Principles. Work consistently as a team member willing to assist everyone, crossing modalities when needed. Follow Infection Control practices utilizing aseptic techniques, observing Universal precautions, and patient safety standards. Possess a positive work ethic to enhance teamwork in a fast-paced environment and accountability for actions. Student will have indirect supervision on all exams that the student has comped. Student will not be able to image exams that they have not comped on during clinicals. When imaging departments are not in need of student radiologic technologist, the student tech will be responsible for helping with the finding and testing of radiology and non-radiology lead. Identify and enter data into the Radiology Information System and the PACS. Monitor the Order Entries for all patient Radiographic exams. Educate and monitor mandatory competencies for patient safety, infection control, fire safety, corporate compliance, and patient confidentiality. Including additional assigned educational modules for self-improvement. Maintain BCLS Certification Receive, relay, and document verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patient?s medical record. Required Qualifications* Second year student that is close to being registry eligible. Experience with all patients, understanding age-appropriate guidelines for communication, positioning, and radiation protection. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills utilizing critical thinking skills that demonstrate ingenuity, creativity, and professionalism. Excellent attendance record. Must be willing to commit to working 20 hours per pay period to include weekdays and weekends, these hours will be outside of students clinical time. The ability to meet the Radiographer's professional role expectations defined as, critical thinking skills, interpersonal behavioral and social skills including communication, physical mobility (pushing, pulling, reaching, and moving up to 50 pounds) and motor skills demonstrating gross and fine motor abilities, sensory abilities of speech, hearing, touch, visual observation, and cognitive attention for pa
