Job Description
LifeBridge Health, a leading regional healthcare organization in Maryland, is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients across our hospitals, specialty centers, and community-based facilities. You will operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while adhering to strict radiation safety principles, established protocols, and regulatory standards. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team, you will prepare and position patients, explain procedures clearly and compassionately, and ensure their comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the imaging process. The Radiologic Technologist will verify physician orders, review patient histories, and select appropriate technical factors and imaging protocols to obtain optimal images with minimal radiation exposure. You will maintain and calibrate imaging equipment, perform quality control checks, and promptly report any malfunctions or safety concerns. Accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, proper image labeling, and timely transmission of studies to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) are essential components of this position. You will follow infection prevention guidelines, support contrast and exam preparation protocols where applicable, and assist with patient transfers and positioning, including patients with limited mobility or complex medical needs. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence for patients and families. You will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, and participate in ongoing professional development and training. In line with LifeBridge Health’s culture of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, you will help foster a positive work environment focused on compassionate patient care, safety, and service excellence. LifeBridge Health offers opportunities for career advancement and professional growth, including cross-training in additional imaging modalities where appropriate, participation in educational programs, and involvement in departmental projects to enhance workflow and patient experience. As a Radiologic Technologist with LifeBridge Health, you will play a critical role in improving health and promoting well-being for diverse communities across Maryland, while building a rewarding and impactful career in healthcare.
