Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging and patient care. You will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic and medical assisting duties across diverse clinical settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and specialized imaging centers. Your expertise will support timely diagnoses and contribute to life-saving interventions in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT scans, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, sonography, and nuclear medicine studies with precision and attention to detail. Apply aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments during invasive procedures and imaging processes. Assist physicians with diagnostic evaluations by preparing patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the process. Operate advanced imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols and radiation safety standards. Manage patient positioning accurately based on thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology to obtain optimal images. Support emergency care efforts by providing rapid imaging services in Level I Trauma Center settings and Level II trauma centers when needed. Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, patient histories, and technical data following medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in urgent care, emergency rooms, and specialized clinics to facilitate efficient diagnostics and treatment planning. Skills Extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities including X-ray, CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, sonography, and nuclear medicine techniques. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles to ensure high-quality imaging results. Experience working in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or Level I Trauma Centers with Level II trauma center experience preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation processes for accurate interpretation of images. Skilled in aseptic technique to prevent infections during invasive procedures or sterile environments. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and the ability to adapt quickly in urgent situations requiring immediate imaging support. Ability to operate complex imaging equipment safely while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
