Company Description Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC) is a 431-bed, fully accredited community teaching hospital situated in Jamaica, Queens. Since its establishment in 1891, the hospital has expanded to provide a wide range of healthcare services, including acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, mental health services, and one of the busiest ER-Trauma Centers in the region. JHMC is dedicated to offering high-quality, accessible care for the underserved residents of Queens, including those who are underinsured or without health insurance. The hospital operates a network of ambulatory care centers, a 224-bed nursing home, and extensive diagnostic and treatment services, all under the MediSys Health Network. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Radiology Manager at Jamaica Hospital, located in Queens, NY. The Radiology Manager will oversee daily operations of the radiology department, including managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the quality and efficiency of imaging services. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules, supervising radiologic technologists, ensuring proper use of equipment, monitoring safety protocols, and collaborating with other medical departments to optimize patient care. The role also involves evaluating and implementing updated procedures and technology to enhance service quality. Qualifications Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Strong expertise in Radiology and associated imaging modalities Familiarity with medical standards and compliance requirements in a radiology setting Leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage teams effectively Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in radiology or a related field Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related healthcare discipline is preferred Commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care within a diverse community
