Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and adaptable X-Ray Technician who is also able to perform duties as a Medical Assistant is a plus in our busy Family Practice/Urgent Care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong imaging expertise and the ability to assist with clinical tasks, providing comprehensive care to patients. This dual-role position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures ( X-Ray) and supporting the healthcare team with medical assistant responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation of the clinic and high-quality patient care. Hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM No Weekends  Perform Diagnostic Imaging: Operate X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Ensure high-quality images for accurate diagnosis by physicians.  Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and answering any questions. Properly position patients for imaging while ensuring their safety and adherence to protocols.  Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain X-ray equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely. Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting, reporting any issues to the appropriate staff.  Radiation Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, self, and staff. Ensure the use of protective measures (e.g., lead aprons) as needed. Maintain accurate records of radiation doses.  Imaging Documentation: Accurately document imaging procedures, including patient information, procedures performed, and any special considerations. Ensure timely and proper submission of images for physician review. Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal radiologic technology program and certification (ARRT or equivalent) required. Medical Assistant certification or trainin
