Department: Radiology - General FTE: 0.90 Full Time Shift: Nights Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor, provide patient services in a Level I Trauma Center. Perform radiographic procedures for Diagnostic Radiology, apply principles of radiation protection. The delivery of quality service and positive interaction with customers is critical to the completion of all tasks. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include; Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups. Detailed responsibilities PROCEDURES - Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures including portables and the OR; operate imaging equipment, computer and other assistive devices X-RAY - Follow prescribed techniques to administer general and specific x-rays; adjust equipment; calculate exposure factors, position and immobilize patients as necessary, use appropriate lead shielding QUALITY CONTROL - Evaluate filming for technical qualities and remedies; provide corrective action to improve quality OBSERVATION - Observe patient and
