JOB SUMMARY The Radiology Technologist at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for performing high-quality and cost-efficient diagnostic procedures for patients and the department. They ensure timely radiology services, maintain equipment, and assist physicians and medical staff during procedures. | JOB FUNCTIONS | | --- | Performs high quality/cost efficient diagnostic procedures for patient and department. Provide radiology services in a timely manner while performing high quality and cost-efficient diagnostic procedures. Organize workflow to prevent delays. Assists Physicians and other medical staff during procedures as requested/required. Provides excellent customer service in an accurate and efficient manner. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, Physicians, other medical staff and NMMC staff members. Attends required in-services, annual review and educational programs. Knowledgeable of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment used in Radiological examinations. Stay abreast of changes in Radiology. Serves patient population categories of neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines. Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues. All other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education Education Level Education Details Required/Preferred Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program. Required Licenses and Certifications Licenses and Certifications Licenses and Certifications Details Time Frame Required/ Preferred ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered or registry eligible by ARRT. Required And Licensed Radiologic Technologist Mississippi Medical Technical License for working in MS facilities. Required And CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification; Required Work Experience Number of Years Work Experience Details Required/ Preferred
