Your role at Baxter Responsible for the raw material planning and purchasing activities needed to support the production of all finished goods for the manufacturing facility. The position maintains communication channels with suppliers, internal customers and the Purchasing Department, and is accountable for the coordination of raw material orders, inventory levels, expedite/prioritize release, safety stock positions, disposition of materials and identification of cost reduction initiatives. What You'll Be Doing Directly supports the procurement and disposition of raw materials in response to MRP and Manufacturing requirements. Obtain materials in economic order quantities that improve value and minimize total cost (e.g. optimized inventory levels). Assist in the annual standard costing process and provide price forecasts. Supports the Procurement Function in the standard costing program to ensure a positive PPV for the plant year over year. Supports materials management systems, plant projects and sustaining of contract terms and conditions with suppliers. Establish and maintain effective communication with all levels within Baxter; ensure that procurement processes meet the requirements of Baxter and suppliers. Monitor and disposition obsolete parts and supplier returns for rejected products and help resolve supplier's quality issues. Monitor changes to assigned commodities to alert purchasing management and the Division to major price/availability fluctuations that will impact the Division's cost or ability to conduct business. Develop knowledge of production planning in order to be the Finished Goods Planner Backup and be able to schedule finished goods (FG) production on manufacturing lines if needed. Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Identify and inform manager of excess, slow move and obsolete inventory issues. Recommends and drives actions to resolve issues. This position requires employee to be onsite What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment. Must not be allergic to Penicillin, Cephalosporin, or related products. Experience working in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments, with a strong understanding of quality standards, SOPs, and compliance expectations. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proven ability to handle inventory levels, address material shortages, and support cost‑efficient operations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments in a complex, matrixed organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong overall systems/ERP competency. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and the ability to work with urgency and accuracy in a fast‑paced setting. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
