About the Opportunity: The RCM Customer Service Representative role is responsible for managing inbound customer service calls related to patient accounting inquiries. This position ensures timely, professional responses with a focus on resolving issues during the first call. The role contributes to the organization''s effectiveness by facilitating resolution through escalation or referral to subject matter experts and may involve outbound follow-up calls during low inbound volume periods. Responsibilities: • Answer inbound customer service calls regarding patient accounting questions promptly and professionally Make outbound follow-up calls on outstanding accounts receivable when call volumes are low Identify caller needs and assist with questions or concerns aiming for first call resolution Escalate issues to supervisors or refer to content experts as appropriate Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent 1 to 2 years of experience in an inbound call center or customer service environment; experience with hospital patient account billing and knowledge of third-party reimbursements is a plus Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills Professional, clear communication with command of the English language Ability to maintain control of calls, de-escalate issues, and instill confidence in resolution Capacity to work independently with flexibility and creative problem-solving Effective functioning under stress and with challenging personalities Understanding of managed healthcare contract reimbursements Attentive listening and appropriate voice modulation Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer terminal Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Pay: $15.80 to $23.70 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, and experience Position may be eligible for a signing bonus for qualified new hires, subject to employment status Time and a half pay for observed holidays Benefits & Perks: • Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Paid time off (minimum 12 days per year, accruing approximately 1.84 hours per 40 hours worked) 401(k) plan with up to 6% employer match Ten paid holidays per year Health savings accounts, healthcare and dependent flexible spending accounts Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
