Job Description
Organization Our client is a private equity-backed retail consumer operating platform executing a high-growth U.S. expansion strategy following a transformational market entry. After completing a large-scale acquisition and carve-out which includes the real estate portfolio consisting of 60 East Coast sites. With the U.S. now established as the primary growth engine for the group, the platform is entering an aggressive multi-year rollout phase focused on the Northeast and major East Coast metropolitan markets, with national expansion to follow. To support this next chapter, the company is building a best-in-class in-market real estate function and is seeking an Acquisitions lead to support that effort. Role Reporting to a Vice President of Acquisitions, the Acquisitions Lead is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, advancing, and negotiating new site opportunities within an assigned regional territory. This role serves as the frontline driver of the organisation’s expansion efforts; you will be in the market daily - engaging brokers, conducting site walks, assessing trade areas, negotiating terms, preparing investment cases, and moving opportunities efficiently through the pipeline. Success in this position is measured by pipeline velocity, deal quality, commercial rigour, and conversion of opportunities into signed locations. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced commercial role suited to someone who thrives in the field, operates autonomously, and consistently delivers results. Responsibilities include but will not be limited to: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of high‑quality site opportunities across assigned regional markets. Proactively drive broker activity through clear direction, frequent engagement, and rapid feedback loops. Use market intelligence tools and on‑the‑ground observations to assess visibility, access, footfall, competition, and overall site viability. Conduct independent site visits and produce structured commercial assessments. Analyse rent levels, occupancy costs, landlord strength, and competitive adjacencies to inform prioritisation. Partner with leadership to determine go/no‑go decisions and ensure opportunities align with financial and operational criteria. Negotiate directly with landlords on key commercial terms including rent, incentives, and lease flexibility. Build feasibility and early‑stage financial models to evaluate potential returns. Prepare materials for internal approval processes and present clear, evidence‑based commercial rationale. Support pre‑opening delivery by coordinating on permits, landlord obligations, zoning matters, and critical‑path requirements. Maintain up‑to‑date market intelligence and provide regular pipeline updates covering progress, risks, and conversions. Demonstrate strong commercial judgement, decisive field‑based execution, and clear communication in a fast‑paced environment. Candidate Relevant, real estate Bachelors degree 5 years’ experience in multi-site real estate acquisitions within consumer, retail, fitness, grocery, pharmacy, QSR, or similar rollout-driven platforms Deep familiarity with Northeast / NYC-area retail real estate , leasing norms, and broker ecosystems Thrives in a high-growth, high-pace environment with accountability and autonomy. Comfortable working in a lean team with direct exposure to senior leadership. Execution-obsessed; bias for action.
