Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support our estate planning practice. This role will focus heavily on the preparation and review of deeds and assisting attorneys with organizing and preparing estate planning documents for client execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable handling both real estate transactions and estate planning workflows. Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly Responsibilities: Deed Preparation & Real Estate Support Draft, review, and prepare various types of deeds, including warranty deeds, quitclaim deeds, transfer-on-death deeds, and trust funding deeds Review title commitments, prior deeds, and property descriptions for accuracy Coordinate recording of deeds with county clerks and ensure compliance with state and local requirements Prepare transfer documents and support due diligence related to property transfers Track recording statuses and maintain organized real estate files Estate Planning Document Preparation Assist attorneys in preparing estate planning documents for execution, including wills, trusts, certifications of trust, powers of attorney, and ancillary documents Assemble and organize document packages for client signing appointments Ensure documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with firm standards before execution Coordinate execution logistics, including scheduling signings and arranging for witnesses and notaries Prepare client correspondence related to document execution and follow-up Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Paralegal certificate strongly preferred 2+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong preference for real estate and/or estate planning experience Familiarity with deed preparation and recording processes required Strong attention to detail and accuracy Working knowledge of legal descriptions and property records Understanding of estate planning document structure and execution requirements Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems About Company Our firm provides trusted counsel for estate and trust planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, estate and trust administration and litigation, guardianship, special needs planning, business planning, and tax planning.
