JOB DESCRIPTION JOB Summary:Provides customer service at the city facilities, including the Laguna Lake Golf Course pro-shop and the SLO Swim Center front counter; collects fees from patrons, processes daily/shift revenue paperwork, assists patrons with facility reservations, and keeps the facility clean and clear of litter.Average hours per week:Laguna Lake Golf Course:12-24 SLO Swim Center:20-30 (Summer), 10-15 (non-Summer) CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:This class is distinguished from other front counter positions in that it is part-time/seasonal and is only assigned to City recreation facilities.SUPERVISION SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:Employees in this classification work under the direct supervision of the divisional Recreation Coordinators and Specialist.TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND Experience:None and No prior working experience.Customer service or experience as a cashier is preferred.or An equivalent combination of education and experience.POSSESSION AND MAINTENANCE OF:Not less than 15 years of age at time of appointment.THIS POSITION WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE A FINAL OFFER IS MADE:Live Scan Fingerprinting (DOJ) This is a temporary position, with no benefits..
