Job Description
Receiving Clerk Job Summary The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials, parts, and equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company requirements. This role supports production and repair operations by maintaining accurate inventory and timely material flow. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive and unload incoming shipments of materials, parts, and equipment. Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading. Inspect received items for damage, accuracy, and quality issues. Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory or ERP system. Label, tag, and properly store received materials in designated locations. Coordinate with purchasing and quality teams to resolve discrepancies or damaged goods. Prepare documentation for returns, shortages, or overages. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as required. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 1–2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control preferred. Basic computer skills; experience with inventory or ERP systems preferred. Ability to read and understand purchase orders and shipping documents. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to stand, walk, and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification a plus). Performs other related duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs 7:30am-4pm Monday-Friday
