Job SummaryWe are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team in a permanent, part-time role.This position is vital to maintaining smooth office operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting a variety of administrative and program functions.The ideal candidate will be proficient in general office administration, eager to support colleagues, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.They will demonstrate technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, maintain a positive attitude, and exhibit a strong work ethic.This position operates within a small office environment.The selected candidate will demonstrate professionalism by asking thoughtful questions, communicating project status, proactively requesting necessary resources, maintaining reliable attendance, producing high-quality work, and supporting the organization's mission with enthusiasm.This is an in-office position located in Olympia, Washington.The successful candidate must be able to travel out of town two to three times per year for organizational meetings held at other Washington locations.These trips typically last two to three days and require overnight stays; events are scheduled months in advance to allow adequate preparation time.Responsibilities Greet visitors and clients at the front desk with professionalism and courtesy Honor the organization's mission through work product, professionalism, and attention to detail in all tasks Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for staff and executives Perform data entry, filing, and maintain organized records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other relevant tools Provide customer support through phone, email, and in-person interactions Handle administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, drafting and managing correspondence, and preparing reports Support office management activities, including supply inventory, mail distribution, and general clerical duties Maintain a professional appearance of the reception area, board room, and other areas of the shared working environment Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.Experience with Excel is a plus.Strong computer literacy with experience in data entry and office software tools Experience updating a website is a plus.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Exceptional phone etiquette, experience using a multi-line phone system, and stellar customer service skills Experience in office management procedures and clerical practices Attention to detail for proofreading and document accuracy Time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently Previous experience as an administrative assistant is required.We offer a collaborative work environment that values professionalism and attention to detail.The successful candidate will help maintain efficient office operations, produce high-quality work, and provide exceptional support to staff and leadership.Pay:$20.00 - $29.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule Paid time off Language:English (Required) Location:Olympia, WA 98501 (Preferred) Ability to Commute:Olympia, WA 98501 (Required) Willingness to travel:25% (Required) Work Location:In person.
