2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR OPENING Location: Churchill HS Work Schedule: 182 Days Work Type: Regular Full-Time Exempt: No Pay Grade: C3 REASONS TO JOIN NEISD **IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING CALCULATION OF PAY: The annual pay for this position is pro-rated based on the effective date of the assignment **IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OPTIONS FOR PAY (for employees who work 215 Days or less ONLY) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or Equivalent One year clerical experience in office setting High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency. PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY : Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff. Greet and direct campus visitors. Assist parents in checking students in and out of school. Receive, sort and distribute mail, messages, documents and other deliveries. Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests. Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes. Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels and stuffing envelopes. Maintain computerized files using personal computer, including reports, employee roster and mailing lists. Assist with the scheduling of teacher conferences. Provide clerical assistance as needed. Maintain confidentiality of information. Reports to work on time every day. Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Proficient keyboarding skills Effective organization, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability to operate multi-line phone system PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
