Salary: $20.00 - $42.00 Hourly Location : Campbell, CA Job Type: Temporary/Seasonal Job Number: 2026-007 Department: Recreation & Community Services Department Opening Date: 02/13/2026 Closing Date: Continuous Description The Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department seeks an experienced Water Aerobics/Aqua Fitness Instructor to teach engaging water exercise classes for patrons either 18 years and over or 50 years and over of varying levels and abilities. Classes are pre-scheduled in our outdoor heated pool on a year-round basis, for weekday and weekend mornings. Example of Duties Typical duties may include, but are not limited to: Lead safe and engaging group fitness classes for varying levels and abilities. Create an inclusive and welcoming class environment. Maintain aqua aerobics equipment and notify supervisor of equipment needing to be repaired or replaced. Create a safe, professional, and positive environment through enforcement of policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of staff and patrons using the pool. Demonstrate professionalism at all times - especially in punctuality, responsibility, personal appearance, respectful communication, and customer service. Follow Department guidelines. Represent the City and the Department in a positive and effective manner. Maintain effective communication with supervisor and participants. Qualifications Minimum age at time of hire is 18 years old. Certification from a nationally recognized water exercise or water aerobics organization.
