Recreation Leader (Temporary/Part-time) Salary $17.75 - $21.57 Hourly Location 91942, CA Job Type Temporary Part-Time Job Number 25-49 Department Parks and Recreation Department Opening Date 11/20/2025 Closing Date Continuous Description Benefits Questions Position Summary The City of La Mesa has an opening for an energetic and enthusiastic Recreation Leader Employee may be assigned to work in one of the following areas: COMMUNITY CENTER COMPLEX (Facility Rentals): Assist with operation of facility rentals. Approximately 10-15 hours per week, primarily evenings and weekends. ADULT ENRICHMENT CENTER (Older Adults): Administrative and program engagement supporting older adults in various activities. Approximately 12-20 hours per week, including Wednesday mornings (leading walks), weekday hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), and potentially evenings/weekends. Class specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees in the class. To provide on-site supervision for programs and facility or park rentals; to lead community walks varying in length from1-5 miles; to set up and tear down equipment for recreational activities; to maintain records and reports; to assist at special events or leading other recreational programs.
