Recreational Therapist

We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Recreational Therapist to work one-on-one with a 21-year-old individual with special needs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating meaningful engagement through recreational activities, community outings, exercise, games, sensory activities, music, walks, and other interactive experiences that promote quality of life, independence, and enjoyment. Schedule 3 one-hour sessions per week Approximately 1 hour per day Flexible scheduling possible Responsibilities: Plan and lead engaging recreational activities Encourage participation, movement, and social interaction Provide positive companionship and motivation Adapt activities to meet individual abilities and interests Help create a fun, structured, and encouraging environment Requirements: Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field preferred Experience working with individuals with special needs required Patient, dependable, creative, and upbeat personality Must be comfortable working one-on-one in a family setting Reliable transportation This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who truly enjoys making a meaningful difference in the life of a young adult with special needs through active engagement and therapeutic recreation.
