CentraState Medical Center is currently seeking a Per Diem Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its team. Under medical supervision, this role is responsible for evaluating, treating, and managing acutely ill patients of all ages who present with abnormalities, deficiencies, or failure of the cardio-pulmonary system. The Respiratory Care Practitioner will complete an extensive initial department orientation and must demonstrate competency in all areas of respiratory care before working independently. Continued professional development is supported through annual Skills Day evaluations and performance competency assessments conducted with a supervisor. In addition, certain procedures such as arterial blood gas collection and intubation require specialized orientation and annual review under supervision. Responsibilities Performs and evaluates arterial puncture and analysis. Performs patient assessment and recommends appropriate interventions.
