Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across regional routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Transport a diverse range of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and roll-off containers Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklift or other equipment when necessary Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight documentation, and vehicle maintenance records Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with various freight types Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklift or other equipment as needed Strong understanding of route planning and navigation for efficient regional deliveries Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety at all times Physical ability to handle cargo loading tasks and long hours on the road Job Description: This is a no-touch freight, live load-unload, drop & hook account. Drivers on this fleet average 1,900 miles per week. Delivery Locations: Delivering to locations in PA, DE, NY, NJ, WV, VA, NC, and Washington DC. No deliveries into NYC or the borroughs. Schedule: Home Time: 34-hour reset weekly, drivers could get 10-hour breaks at home. Compensation: CPM Stop Pay Equipment: Top-of-the-line sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions pulling 53' dry van and reefer trailers. Drivers must have their own transportation to commute to work. Trucks will need to parked at the distribution center. This is a 24/7 account - Drivers MUST be willing to drive nights, weekends & holidays. Route begins in Baltimore MD, delivering to retail locations in PA, DE, NY, NJ, WV, VA, NC and Washington DC. No touch freight, preloaded trailers and live unload. Freight is candy. This is a 24/7 operation. Drivers must have reliable transportation. Truck will need to be parked at our Baltimore Yard. Driver will receive a 34 hour reset at home per week with a possible 2-3 days home per week. Address Of the Yard: 4851 Holabird Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224 Remote orientation - Monday starts only - Wednesday the drivers will be sent for road, range, EPE, PAT, and onboarding. 75 miles from Baltimore can work if the driver understands that the extra miles and time will cut into home time $1375 guaranteed pay, must be available to work for 5 days. Majority starting at 0100 -0300 but we still expect open available as business needs. Hometime: 34-hour reset weekly, plus 10-hour breaks at home if trucks are parked at Baltimore Yard - Not local! Home weekly 34 reset and some 10 hrs because they live close. Hauling Candy out of Baltimore to PA, DE, NY, NJ, WV, VA, NC and Washington DC Average Weekly: $1,530Average Annualized: $79,560 Top Weekly: $2,091 Top Annualized: $108,732 Ono/Grantville is where orientation will be held.
