# Job Title: Regional Director of Business Development - Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Location: Tulsa, OK 74008 ## Position Overview: We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Regional Director of Business Development to lead growth initiatives for our substance abuse treatment organization across the region. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the generation of a consistent pipeline of qualified referrals, building and nurturing strategic partnerships, and increasing community awareness of our services. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment and a strong understanding of payer sources including VA, private insurance, and commercial plans. ## Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage business development efforts to generate a minimum of 9-12 qualified referrals per month through outreach and relationship development. Build, maintain, and strengthen strong relationships with referral sources including hospitals, therapists, case managers, VA systems, and community organizations. Conduct regular in-person visits to referral partners, treatment facilities, and community stakeholders within the region. Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and industry meetings to enhance brand presence. Develop and execute comprehensive territory plans to grow census and expand market presence. Educate partners on levels of care, admissions criteria, and program offerings to facilitate informed referrals. Collaborate closely with admissions and clinical teams to ensure smooth referral-to-admission conversion processes. Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities and referral pipeline in CRM systems. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and payer requirements to adapt strategies accordingly. Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to business development representatives within the region. ## Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in business development, admissions, or outreach in substance abuse or behavioral health. Strong knowledge of payer sources including VA, private insurance, and commercial insurance. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding referral/admissions targets. Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and manage a multi-state territory. Willingness to travel frequently within assigned region (OK, TX, and AR). ## Preferred Qualifications: Existing book of business or referral relationships in the behavioral health space. Experience working with detox, residential, PHP, or IOP levels of care. ## Work Environment: This is a field-based role requiring significant travel to partner sites and events across Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas, approximately 20% of the time.
