Our team includes more than 1,600 registered dietitians and 1,200 executive chefs, serving over 600million meals annually.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Regional Director of Operations to provide strategic, multi-unit leadership across food service operations throughout AlabamaRelocation Assistance AvailableKey ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and inspire a diverse team of District Managers, Resident District Managers, and Director of Dining Services.Drive self and team toward building strong relationships with clients at all levels and achieving KPIs (profitability, safety, engagement).Serve on regional leadership team; communicate with peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, champion diversity, and build community.Own all accounts within assigned territory, ensuring input from and thoughtful communication with key partners; make decisions grounded in risk/reward balance and short/long-term implications.Support RVP in setting a cultural tone in the region; meet regularly with extended team to ensure transparency, understanding, safety, accountability, and alignment.Represent the Chartwells team to senior clients and act as escalation point.Work with regional team to ensure Sales and Retention processes are smooth for all accounts.Collaborate with key partners to support regional initiatives.Ensure compliance with QA, policy, and USDA program requirements, and complete all reporting on time.Champion development with RVP; conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and build multi-unit management skills.Own financial results/P&L for assigned territory and work with leadership to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.Ensure consistent and fair administration of all policies and procedures.Recognize and anticipate marketplace trends; participate in regional strategic planning meetings.Required QualificationsBachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university, or eight (8) years progressive experience in multi-unit foodservice, hospitality management, plant operations, environmental services, laundry distribution, or other support services.Preferred QualificationsStrong background in senior leadership roles with exposure to contract/budget management, customer service, people development, food services, negotiations.Proven track record of growing a business and leading teams, with strong financial acumen.Ability to think quickly, analytically, strategically, and accurately.Expert client relationship, influencing, listening, and communications skills.Championship of an inclusion mindset; proactive, positive, professional, flexible, and resilient.Initiative, ownership, multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills.Proficient in Microsoft Suite.Extensive travel required.BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife Insurance/ADDisability InsuranceRetirement PlanFlexible Time OffPaid Parental LeaveHoliday Time Off (varies by site/state)Personal LeaveAssociate Shopping ProgramHealth and Wellness ProgramsDiscount MarketplaceIdentity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceCommuter BenefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Associates may also be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
