Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavioral interventions. Your primary focus will be on supporting clients through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques, assisting with daily living activities, and collecting data to track progress. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy and ABA techniques. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, dressing, and hygiene to promote independence. Collect accurate data on client behaviors and responses during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients in educational settings by applying principles of special education and teaching strategies tailored to individual needs. Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including behavior logs, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that promotes behavioral health and effective behavior management strategies. Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment approaches and share insights on client progress. Skills Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavioral therapy techniques. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Ability to assist with ADLs while demonstrating patience and compassion. Proficient in data collection methods for tracking behavioral progress accurately. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent teaching skills combined with a caring approach to patient care and behavior management. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers.
