Job Description
Overview St Mary's is looking to hire a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT I) that will be responsible for the direct implementation of behavior analytics services to clients under the supervision of a qualified Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).The RBT I provides one to one and group based therapy using evidence based practices grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a focus on skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and generalization across environments.Join St Mary's team and make a meaningful impact by applying a strength based neurodiversity affirming approach to help children build on their unique abilities fostering positive relationships and skills that translate across home school and community settings.Duties Implements individualized behavior analytic services as designed and directed by a BCBA Provides direct one on one and group ABA therapy focused on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.Selects accurate, objective data on client performance and behavior in accordance with treatment plans.Implements reinforcement systems, prompting hierarchies, and behavior reduction procedures with fidelity.Prepares and maintains structured therapy environments to support learning and engagement.Maintains client dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times.Follows all protocols for crisis management and behavior intervention as trained.Communicates effectively with supervising BCBA regarding client progress, barriers, and concerns.Completes accurate and timely documentation per funder guidelines and St Mary's standards.Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to build a supportive and therapeutic environment.Attends and actively participates in supervision, team meetings, and trainings.Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and adherence to scheduling expectations.Participates in ongoing supervision and maintains competency and compliance in accordance with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) standards.Demonstrates cultural responsiveness and adapts service delivery to meet individual client needs.Responds appropriately to emergencies, behavioral crisis, and safety situations.Reports any safety concerns, incidents, or environmental risks immediately.Performs other duties as assigned by supervising BCBA or Site Director.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must pass a Registered Behavior Technician training program, including passing a comprehensive written exam and field evaluation, within designated onboarding period Compassionate with amotivation to learn.A valid driver's license (depending on the service setting), certification and CPR, and competency in CPI or another form of crisis prevention system required throughout employment.Competency and use of telephones, computers, copiers/scanners, and data collection software is required.Ability to pass background check and drug screening.Experience providing services to children adolescents with neurodevelopmental differences is desired.Pay:$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Education:High school or equivalent (Required) License/Certification:CPR Certification (Required) CPI Certification (Required) Ability to Commute:Fort Johnson, LA 71459 (Required) Work Location:In person.
