Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs documenting medical history and reviewing insurance information of the patients. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate appointment follow-ups using dental practice management software. Maintain accurate patient documentation, treatment plans, and health histories. Proficiency in taking X-rays, performing scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove tartar, plaque, and stains. Teach patients proper brushing and flossing techniques and counsel on nutrition. Apply preventative materials like fluorides and sealants. Adhere to infection control protocols, sanitize and autoclave instruments. Requirements and Qualifications Valid state license to practice. Certification to administer local anesthesia. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings Take digital X-rays with proficiency, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and HIPAA compliance standards Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with children in a compassionate and engaging manner Skilled in medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging techniques Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental office setting Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments utilizing four-handed dentistry methods for optimal patient comfort Join us to make a difference through dedicated patient care while advancing your career in a supportive, energetic environment!
