HCA Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and detail‑oriented Registered Nurse (RN) for our Nephrology/Metabolic unit within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide safe, evidence‑based nursing care to adult patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, metabolic disorders, and complex comorbidities in a fast‑paced hospital environment. Working collaboratively with nephrologists, hospitalists, dietitians, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members, you will perform comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor hemodynamic and metabolic status. The RN Neph Metabolic will be responsible for managing patients before and after dialysis or other renal replacement therapies, coordinating care and education around fluid and electrolyte balance, diabetes management, and other metabolic conditions, and responding promptly to changes in patient condition using sound clinical judgment. You will use advanced monitoring equipment and electronic medical records to document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and timely, while adhering to all hospital policies, evidence‑based protocols, and regulatory standards. Education, patient advocacy, and communication are central to this role. You will provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families regarding nephrology and metabolic conditions, treatment options, dietary and medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications. You will actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds, hand‑off communication, and coordination of discharge planning to support safe transitions of care.
