Job Description
Bethesda Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population with varying healthcare needs. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients across multiple acuity levels, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role includes conducting comprehensive patient assessments, administering medications and treatments safely and accurately, monitoring patient conditions, and promptly responding to changes in status using sound clinical judgment and evidence-based practices. You will be responsible for coordinating and documenting all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record, educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies, and actively involving them in shared decision-making. In alignment with Bethesda Health’s culture of compassionate care and inclusivity, you will advocate for patient rights, comfort, and dignity, creating a supportive environment that respects cultural, spiritual, and individual needs. You will contribute to quality and patient-safety initiatives by following established protocols, infection prevention standards, medication safety practices, and fall- and pressure-injury-prevention measures, while also participating in performance-improvement projects and data-driven practice changes. The Registered Nurse will precept or mentor new staff and students as needed, support a collaborative and respectful team environment, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with innovative medical practices and clinical guidelines. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting, collaborate with a broad range of professionals, and make a meaningful impact on patient experiences and outcomes every day.
