Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care. • Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas • Related Work Experience and Other Skills: • Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards and utilizes these when providing nursing care. • Work experience: Minimum 12 months IMC/PCU RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program • Works with confidential material Be accountable for your performance • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. • Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational processes. • Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility. • Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development. • Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care. • Methodist Midlothian Medical Center is the first full-service, acute care hospital in Midlothian, Texas.
