Registered Nurse Freestanding ER Manor

St. David's Medical Center, a full-service hospital in central Austin and part of St. David's HealthCare, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Freestanding ER in Manor. Specializing in neurology, cardiac services, and advanced technologies such as robotic surgery, St. David’s is dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care and a culture of excellence and teamwork. As a Registered Nurse in our Freestanding ER Manor location, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based emergency nursing care to a diverse adult and pediatric population presenting with neurological, cardiac, trauma, and medical emergencies. You will be responsible for rapid assessment, triage, and implementation of physician-directed and nurse-initiated interventions, including medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, and use of specialized emergency and neurological monitoring equipment. The RN will collaborate closely with emergency physicians, neurologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to stabilize patients and coordinate transfer or admission to St. David’s Medical Center or other appropriate facilities when higher levels of care are required. You will advocate for patient safety, maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, and support patients and families with clear communication, education, and compassionate, culturally sensitive care.
