As a Home Infusion Nurse, you'll provide one on one, skilled clinical care to patients where they feel most comfortable-at home or in an ambulatory infusion suite. This role offers true autonomy, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to build meaningful connections with patients and caregivers while delivering life changing therapies. You'll have the support of a multidisciplinary care team, comprehensive training, and the resources you need to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate infusion care. In This Role, You Will:Learn more about our Home Infusion Pharmacy:Optum Infusion PharmacyTravel within Northern Louisiana to deliver care in patient homes or designated sitesWork 20 hours per week Primary Responsibilities:Travel to patient homes and related sites using a personal or rental vehicle in accordance with company travel policiesProvide safe and compliant infusion services in accordance with Optum Infusion Pharmacy policies, protocols, and physician ordersEstablish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers, including education on self-care and self-administrationAssess patient suitability for home infusion therapy, including home safety, caregiver support, and patient independenceObtain and maintain accurate patient medical histories, clinical assessments, and all required documentation, including plans of care, visit notes, medication profiles, and discharge summariesDeliver skilled nursing care across a range of patient ages and conditions based on physician orders and treatment plansEstablish, access, and maintain vascular devices, including peripheral IVs, PICC lines, tunneled catheters, and implanted portsAdminister medications and monitor patient responses, including managing infusion reactions, vital signs, side effects, and lab collectionCommunicate patient status and therapy response promptly with physicians, pharmacists, supervisors, and other care team membersAssist in staff orientation and training, serving as a clinical educator and resource as requested Why You'll Love This RoleBeyond the meaningful impact you make every day, you'll enjoy:Paid Door-to-Door - Time and mileage fully compensatedMileage reimbursement in alignment with IRS Standard mileage ratesGenerous Benefits include accruing paid time off (PTO)Monthly performance-based bonus opportunityComprehensive training ensures you feel confident with every therapy before administering care1:1 patient connection, allowing you to see the difference your nursing care makes firsthand You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of LouisianaCurrent BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start1years of RN experience in a clinical setting supporting infusion or IV therapy (eg, ICU, Med Surg, ED, PACU)Demonstrated ability to work independently with solid clinical judgment and effective interdisciplinary collaboration skillsValid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications:Home infusion experienceFamiliarity with Microsoft Office and EMR platformsKnowledge of Infusion Nursing Society (INS) standardsUnderstanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and home infusion accreditation guidelinesProven solid communication, organization, critical thinking, and teaching skills Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
