Job Description
HealthONE is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for our Pre Op/PACU team within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals undergoing surgical and procedural interventions. In the pre-operative phase, you will conduct thorough nursing assessments, review medical histories, reconcile medications, obtain informed consents per policy, start IVs, and provide education to patients and families to ensure understanding of the surgical process and post-operative expectations. In the PACU setting, you will assume responsibility for the safe recovery of patients emerging from anesthesia, closely monitoring airway, breathing, circulation, pain, level of consciousness, and hemodynamic stability. You will administer medications and treatments, respond promptly to changes in patient condition, and collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care. This role requires strong critical thinking, rapid assessment skills, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence for patients and their families. At HealthONE, you will work with advanced medical technology and standardized clinical protocols that support safe, efficient perioperative care. You will participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, adhere to strict infection prevention and patient safety standards, and document all care accurately in the electronic health record. Consistent with HealthONE’s culture of excellence and compassion, you will serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring dignity, respect, and comfort throughout the surgical experience. This position offers opportunities for professional growth, ongoing education, and collaboration with a highly skilled team that is dedicated to superior patient outcomes and the health and safety of the Denver community.
