Summary This Registered Nurse (Research) position is located at Lafayette City Center, 2 Avenue de Lafayette, Boston, MA . Duties Duties will include: Review of clinical charts to identify adverse events associated with CSP clinical trials. Develop and implement medical monitoring activities in CSP clinical trials. Support integrated monitoring activities with interdisciplinary clinical trial teams, including assessing clinical trials for clinical risks to patients. Provide clinical expertise in the development of electronic phenotypes of clinical characteristics in support of CSP clinical trials and epidemiological studies. Provide clinical expertise to data science activities, including chart review and adjudication, review of electronic health record data, and providing clinical specifications and definitions. Reporting to and interaction with regulatory bodies, including the VA Central IRB, VA Boston IRB, FDA and others. Assess the electronic health record ecosystem to support embedded clinical trials. Develop electronic health record solutions for embedded clinical trials. Communicate and negotiate with clinical staff at other VA medical centers regarding implementation of CSP clinical trials. Provide clinical expertise in the planning of clinical trials including reviewing the existing clinical ecosystem and infrastructure, identifying potential clinical risks such as possible drug interactions, determining feasibility of proposed interventions within the existing VA infrastructure.
