Aequor Healthcare, a nationally recognized healthcare staffing firm since 1998, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an opportunity in Las Animas, Colorado.Join a supportive team where you can make a meaningful impact while maintaining a flexible schedule.Details:Position:Registered Nurse (RN) Location:Las Animas, Colorado Facility:Bent County Correctional Facility Setting:Corrections Contract:6 months and up to 1 year Shift:12-hour day or night shifts Pay:$1,520/week for 36 hours & $1,920/week for 48 hours Minimum Qualifications:1year of RN experience No local candidates accepted at this time, candidate must hold permanent address at least 70 miles away from the facility Responsibilities:Plan and deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) orders.Administer and dispense medications and assist LIPs during examinations and treatments.Apply appropriate nursing and supervisory techniques in the care, treatment, and referral of inmates/residents.Perform all clinical and technical procedures within the scope of licensure and education.Conduct sick call with the physician, prepare patient lists, and set up examination rooms and equipment.Manage pill call, including medication administration and required documentation.Communicate with LIPs regarding medication orders, treatment directives, and emergencies.Assess and triage new or ill/injured inmates/residents and arrange referrals to emergency or outside healthcare facilities as needed.Perform emergency procedures and obtain treatment orders from LIPs promptly.Coordinate medical services provided by contract personnel and ensure operational support for care delivery.Benefits:Our nurses are at the heart of what we do, and we're proud to offer:Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision starting Day 1) Weekly pay with consistent, reliable scheduling Competitive compensation packages Travel stipends for eligible candidates 401(k) retirement plan Hands-on recruiter support throughout your assignment Fast, streamlined onboarding process Ready to get started?
