Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Detox/Residential Treatment Facility Job Type: Full-Time Location: El Dorado Hills, CA Reports To: Executive Director / Clinical Director/ Program Director Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team in a detox and residential treatment setting. The RN will play a vital role in providing high-quality medical care and support to clients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and passionate about client-centered, trauma-informed care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments upon client admission and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment Administer medications as prescribed, including detox protocols and PRN medications Monitor and document clients' vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and overall medical condition Communicate effectively with physicians, mid-level providers, and treatment team regarding client care Provide emergency response and first aid as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Educate clients on medications, health conditions, and wellness strategies Support a safe and therapeutic environment by ensuring compliance with safety protocols and infection control Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary care planning Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies Qualifications: Current and valid RN license in the state of California CPR/BLS certification Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred (detox or psych setting highly desirable) Familiarity with withdrawal symptoms, medication-assisted treatment, and psychotropic medications Strong communication, clinical judgment, and crisis intervention skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team EMR experience preferred (specifically KIPU) Pay: $44.00 - $48.00 per hour Work Location: In person
